PRICE OF BEAUTY: for men only

Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all? Lips stick check, hair on fleek, manicure on point and indeed she is a masterpiece. They say make up is a girl’s best friend, am not so sure on the validity of this statement but how she manages to blend all those beauty products together and by the time she is done she is a real work of art to a point when gazing at her she reminds you of the princess herself, Cinderella. Then the myth and misconception on how she is indecisive on what to wear. Rumour has it that some women even plan what to wear a week in advance. Intriguing! Yeah but this is not a crime guess they understand what is the meaning of creating a first impressions. First impressions are all about looks and it’s only later you get to sit down and analyse someone’s character. You never get a second chance to make a great first impression. Concepts such as love at first site depend on the first impression she makes on you and how she steals your heart away by a mere smile. All men want to be with her and all the women wish they could be her, she is perfect and has everything figured out. So the next time she spends an extra 5 minutes in the bathroom trying to make her hair or whatever it is she will be doing please be patient; as learned from a Czech proverb; patience come with roses.

Are looks the only thing that constitute a woman’s beauty, is looking pretty the only thing she need in this life? Yeah she may get favors and sometimes special treatment because of how she looks but is that how far the story goes. Do brains and beauty go together? I engaged some friends and after some long interesting conversations one of them said beauty without brains is akin to a master piece drawn on a napkin; no one takes a beautiful fool seriously. Thinking about it there is nothing more attractive under the sun like a beautiful intelligent woman. A woman who doesn’t only bank on her looks to get what she wants in this world or agrees to be treated like a token but works hard for everything she has. I couldn’t resist the temptation to quote Jamie Foxx when he sings “there isn’t nothing that’s more sexy than a girl that wants but doesn’t need me. Young independent, yeah she works hard but you can tell from the way that she walks she doesn’t slow down cause she doesn’t have time to be complaining, shawty is going to shine since she doesn’t expect nothing from no guy”

So what exactly is beauty and the criteria for describing a beautiful lady, is it the hair, short or long, body mass: slender or chubby, complexion: dark or light skinned or better yet being trendy? There is no concise answer to this since beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. We all have our own preferences and everyone is beautifully and wonderfully made.

Its good to embrace both the inner beauty and the physical because every man aspires to have a woman who is presentable in terms of appearance..intellectual ability is only realized through introspection. The only problem I have with our ladies is that they invest time and money in appearance neglecting mannerism which is a social fabric. In as much as they are bewitched with this artificial beauty let them not forget about character

So true Ben,bt I also think that beauty is not only about the physical appearances but also intelligence en above all the inner self or the virtues that ones hold dear.Or else you will end up with someone like Emma Bouvary, who was so physically attractive en an intellectual bt she lacked moral values and thus she ended up destroying her marriage and herself too.
